Hong Kah Lite competing in the 7th ASEAN School Games (ASG)

Congratulations to our golfer Donovan Lee who struck bronze for the Singapore team in the golf competition at the 7th ASEAN School Games (ASG) in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam, from 21 to 29 November 2015. Chef-de-Mission for the Singapore Schools contingent , Mr R Vasuthevan, commended the student-athletes for their participation, “The Games provided our student athletes with a wonderful opportunity for building character in sporting excellence. They fought hard, were gracious in victory, and displayed grit and determination against stronger opponents. They also reconnected with their regional opponents; developed admiration for each other’s sporting prowess and forged new friendships.”

The ASG, organised by the ASEAN Schools Sports Council (ASSC) , aims to promote ASEAN solidarity among youths while providing opportunities for school-athletes to benchmark their sporting talents. Student-athletes will also engage in cultural exchanges during the Games.
