Hong Kah’s very own artist experiences being part of art exhibitions overseas in Japan and China
Our budding artist, Yeow Jian Zhe from 4A, took part in various art exhibitions organised by Art Action. In 2008, he participated in the Japan, Singapore Contemporary Art Exhibition held in Japan and in 2009, he participated in the ‘SHARE’ A Bowl of Rice Art exhibition 2008-2009 in Hang Zhou, China where proceeds of the sale of artworks were donated to charity organisations and those in need.
Reflection by Jian Zhe of his experiences……..
“Going for art exhibition overseas was a wonderful experience for me. I can see what an international exhibition looks like and feels like and see what other people do for their art work. When people buy my art pieces during the SHARE art exhibition, I know that there are people who appreciate art and willing to help the poor. I also gained experience by doing a live demonstration at the some exhibitions I went. “ ……………….. Yeow JianZhe 4A 2010
